The XL3t XRF Analyzer (X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry) provides precise elemental analysis of a wide variety of metals, polymers, alloys, ceramics, petroleum, geological materials and more by emitting X-Rays at a sample. When the X-Rays strike the sample, electrons are knocked out of the innermost orbitals. Electrons from the outer orbitals move into the open spots and stabilize the newly created ion. Through this process, a secondary X-Ray photon is emitted which has a characteristic specific to each element.
